The 'final' version of the IGUBU ZERO #3 promotional poster.
You can see how it began here (RED AND ANGRY!! RAAGH!): [link]
Originally created as a cover for a local comic anthlogy called Zero (#3), but it was never used, much to my dismay.
UPDATE:
To answer some questions: Photoshop (No 3d modeling whatsoever.. i wish i knew 3d.. then this would be better) over some pencil and inks. The moon is a combination of painted elements, textures and a section of the mars surface, all altered to create a brand new planet/moon texture.
The character IS based on Psycho Mantis from MGS.. glad to see some of you know your games. I just REALLY liked the mask so i altered it in a few minor ways and painted it in photoshop.
2004 UPDATE:
i swore i wouldnt do it again but this was just sitting there on my harddrive, unseen by anyone else, so i uploaded it here. I edited the originial deviation instead of upping a new image.. i wanted to get rid of that old one anyway... now its as if it was never here... only the people who riginally commented and downloaded this will ever know.
Woop.
anyway... its now PINK. PINK?!!
I hate pink, but this just seems to work so much better... was gonna upload the yellow version but decided against it. Enjoy.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
